Anyone who has read this blog is probably aware of my passion for the arts, so I'm naturally very excited that the funding has been received to turn the former Scotiabank building into a flexible arts space that could accommodate 240-340 seats.
The new venue would be used by the many existing arts companies in the area, and undoubtedly nurture the development of many more.
This is also good news for everyone who has hoped to see more revitalization in the 5-Points area, as it is expected to be pivotal in the development of an entertainment district, including artists' studios and a refurbished movie theatre. - Caleigh
